Some people think that success is most important in their life. Others think that it』s more important to be happy when they fail. Who do you agree with and why?

It is an incontrovertible fact that success and failure cannot be separate from each other. Although some people think that there are few thing more important than success in life, I believe otherwise. I am of the opinion that optimism and happiness after failure are much more beneficial for us for two main reasons which are elaborated below.

To begin with, there is a belief among most people that failure is nothing but weakness, which is utterly wrong. Needless to say, there is a lesson in every failure and mistake for indivials who have deep perspective. Although some people ignore the value of a failure with constructive lessons, I believe failure means "Latent triumph." To illustrate this, I would like to mention Edison's famous quote about inventing the light bulb: "I haven't failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." Therefore, so far-reaching is the definition of success that every risk, mistake, and failure can be a latent triumph. If we do not happy because of discovering a way which does not end to a breakthrough, and do not take the blessing of this finding for granted, how will be able to keep our motivation up to continue the path of reaching success? Indeed, having made quite a few mistakes ring life, and having learned their lessons having indescribable value, people could have discovered such a useful thing.

Additionally, failure is an inseparable part of human race's life. With this in mind, hardly can be guaranteed that a person will not face with failures ring his or her childhood to althood. Accordingly, indivials should accept that they are supposed to encounter with ups and downs ring life, and thus they should be able to tolerate them by being happy and optimistic. One of my friends, for instance, having a serious monetary issue and lived in a poor family but had a big dream in his mind--accepting in a well-known university. Having withstood many hard situations, and having failed after many attempts, by the virtue of optimism and passionate in the face of problems, he reached to his "Golden-dream." Consequently, it is crystal clear that happiness, and keeping spirit how is of great influence in a person's success and prosperity.

In the light of these crucial reasons, I strictly believe that human should change their opinion about failures. Indivials should tattoo in their mind that failure not only can pave the way toward big success but also can help us be strong and go not give up our dreams and hopes.

嗯嗯，作為一個剛剛結束托福考試的孩紙~看到樓主的這個問題就忍不住來發言了，而且樓樓提到的那些資料我都有用過……自我感覺自己算是個過來人，所以……忍不住多嘴了……當然，以下發言全部都是個人經驗哦，樓主可以隨意看看

首先，我覺得呢，因為托福考試是網考的嘛，所以買紙質版的書真的很沒有必要，不但很浪費錢，而且個個的厚的跟個板磚一樣的，根本都不高興翻開來看。所以我建議樓樓下載電子版，電子版是免費的，而且輕便，放在電腦里也好看。樓樓提到的那些作文資料我都是在網上下載的。

其實，我剛開始准備考托福的時候，也和樓樓一樣，在網上問了半天的人，然後買了一堆一堆的書~李笑來的高分185真心覺得坑爹啊~因為他一個題目只有一篇文章，這也就罷了，關鍵托福和GRE不同，GRE的作文是百分之百考的題庫~托福的作文是百分之零……起碼我考了5次，（好吧，這其實不是什麼光榮的數字）只有中過機經，從來沒有出現過185的題~當然，樓樓既然已經有了，我就馬後炮了。

那麼，接下來我就啰嗦幾句各家資料的優缺點哦……因為我自己都用過，所以，寫的也是個人的經驗，如果樓樓的感覺和我不一樣，還是以樓樓自己的感覺為准。

1、185被認定是官方題庫，雖然裡面的題目從來沒有在正式考試中出現過，但是不可能沒有一點作用。我覺得，185對於考生來說，是一個了解托福獨立寫作的最基本的東西，通過185你會知道托福獨立寫作到底考什麼話題。仔細瀏覽一下185的範文就會發現，裡面有很多題目是可以用同一篇文章搞定的。所以，我自己當初是這么做的：把185的題目分類。打個比方來說吧，學習類的分一起，教育類的，傳媒類的……還有什麼建築類的之類之類的……

分類之後呢，你就可以專門只看一類的文章。比如建築類吧，一般都會告訴你，在某某地方建一個什麼東西，有什麼好處和不好的地方。看過幾篇建築類的範文就會發現……很多理由都是一致的。比如修建東西能夠促進經濟發展什麼的，帶來環境污染什麼的……這些東西就是萬能理由。那麼你看了這些文章之後，就會知道，碰上這個類型的作文要從哪方面下手了。

不過，185有一個很致命的缺點就是他一道題目一篇文章，所以你能用上的例子並不多。我手上有一本資料，也是185的題庫寫的作文，但是它一道題目幾乎都是好幾篇文章，而且……最關鍵的是，185的作者李笑來是個中國人，再怎麼厲害總歸是有中國人的痕跡的。但是我手上這篇資料，好像是叫《ANSWER TO THE TOEFL ESSAY》什麼什麼的，是美國人寫的。所以語句非常地道，樓樓可以修改一下用成自己的句型。它的名字不是重點啦，樓樓想要的話，留下郵箱我發給你……我托福的資料還大把大把的在呢，沒捨得刪

總之，如果你看完了185和那個《ANSWER TO THE TOEFL ESSAY》的話，獨立寫作就算是差不多了。因為就算是你草草看了一遍，也知道什麼樣的類型要用什麼樣的理由來說。剩下的怎麼辦呢？因為不少人都說185的題目太老啦，萬一在考場上碰見的題目不屬於裡面的任何一個怎麼辦？嗯嗯，這個時候就輪到萬能的機經出場了。考試之前搜一下小馬，竹子，康老師的機經吧，根據機經來准備個10幾篇作文就差不多了~

我用了這么多次（好吧，這真的沒什麼值得高興的……一次過線是最好的了~），覺得小馬家的最准。樓樓可以在新浪微博上找一個叫「托福機考經驗」的用戶，它會無償在微盤上分享機經，供考生免費下載。我就是用他家的機經喲，真的很准啦~

2、寫作真經的那些事兒
寫作真經我只用過1和2，同理，不用買書了，直接網上下載。我是在新浪愛問共享裡面下載的，樓樓有需要的話，可以在新浪下，或者找我，老規矩留個郵箱……寫作真經123都差不多，看一本就夠了~我買了1和2，但是也只看了2而已，123的不同只是他們選的真題不同罷了~~

寫作真經的最大特點就是它都用的真題來做案例~但是因為題目的數量不多，所以我認為，它在做獨立寫作這一塊，不如185的信息量大。所以，我個人是把寫作真經當成專門的綜合寫作復習來看的。上面有綜合寫作的模板，樓樓只要背熟那個模板，然後進行幾次模擬測試，讓自己習慣那個考試的節奏就可以了。寫作真經的綜合寫作模板很靠譜，我靠著這個模板拿到了5分的綜合寫作~是滿分喲（瞧我，臭不要臉地得瑟了~）

綜合寫作說到底其實考的還是你的聽力問題。因為閱讀的時間比較長（3分鍾，絕對綽綽有餘讓你看那篇小文章看的滾瓜爛熟）。看閱讀是有技巧的，首先先看第一段和其他每一段的第一句話，對閱讀文章的作者的論點有個基本印象，接著才來看細節~別擔心閱讀看不完也沒事，聽力是最重要的，因為閱讀文章是一直出現在屏幕上的。聽力一般都是這樣的：老師在第一句話就說了，reading passage 是不對的，然後1，怎麼不對，2，怎麼不對，3，怎麼不對。所以你只要把123聽出來，聽力的細節稍微留心就可以了~

好吧，總結性地回答一下樓樓的問題：185題目老，但是可以作為托福寫作入門書籍，樓樓可以分類看；寫作真經123沒啥子差別，而且只是綜合寫作比較好用，因為就獨立寫作來說，題量太少了；綜合寫作要針對性練習聽力，綜合寫作的lecture很明顯地分為了三段，你要記住每一段的內容（其實可以從閱讀裡面來找反的就行了，這樣的話在聽之前也有個大概印象……），基本上考前看看機經的綜合寫作，平時聽聽力的時候順帶練習一下就可以了~

㈣ 托福第一篇作文怎麼寫

托福第一篇來作文其自實對寫作技巧和能力要求不高；主要考察對閱讀文本的概括能力和聽力文段的復述程度。
開始寫作考試後先閱讀文章（3分鍾），你要做的是讀懂每段大意並進行概括（如果能記在紙上最好，沒時間的話還是要以讀懂為先）；
閱讀文章後開始播放聽力文段（2分鍾左右），你要做的是盡可能地記下聽力中播放出的信息（能記下原詞原句最好，避免自己改寫）；
開始寫文章後要分清段落，按照閱讀和聽力中的first/second/third等標志詞進行分段；每段既要包括閱讀文本的概括（次要略寫）又要包括聽力文段的復述（主要詳寫）；
注意事項：閱讀文本的概括不要照抄原文，要用自己的話概括；聽力文段的復述盡量用聽力材料中的原詞原句，復述相似程度越高得分越高；托福第一篇作文不必拘泥模板，概括閱讀文本和復述聽力文段就行了。

不過話說回來，如果想要新托福拿高分，這個還是必須要買的。裡面所有題型都有介紹，還有音頻資料和習題！這是非常關鍵的，因為新托福實際上就考兩個東西：聽力和聽力～！！！！
推薦去買一本officialguide，就是新東方說的og，如果你報了新東方的托福班它應該會在教材里替你買。還是那句話，想高分，老老實實做og吧，，，

Since people's criteria for success differ, there is much debate over whether only those who make a lot of money are successful. As far as I am concerned, in today's society that stresses on indivial achievement, money provides the best evaluation of one's accomplishment.
To begin with, as a standardized measurement used for comparing values, money is objective rather than subjective, so it is considered an authentic reflection of one's achievement. As different people hold different understandings of success, assessing the amount of one's earnings has become universally accepted as a rule to measure one's success. Each year, Fortune Magazine publishes a special issue to rank the top 100 most successful people throughout the world according to their yearly income, because there are no other methods to rely on.
In addition, the amount of money one makes is the consequence of one's hard work and talent. To deny the accomplishment wealth brings is equal to deny the sources from which it springs. In the past, I only believed in spiritual values and then leapt rashly to the conclusion that the best thing in life involves no money at all. It is my uncle who showed me the significance of money and changed my opinion. He told me he respected money and made it a goal to strive for in his way towards success. Because he would have to pay a price for it in terms of time, thought and energy. Graally, I came to realize it is the mental and physical labor he devotes in the process of making money that paves his way for self-accomplishment, and thus deserves appreciation and respect.
Finally, money is the most powerful possession in one's lifetime. As everyone knows, success is the ability to do whatever one wants to and to be satisfied with oneself. There is hardly anything that can be done without a certain amount of money. Indeed, with money, one can meet his or her material demand in life, such as taking effective medicines, living in magnificent houses, eating various delicious food, and so on. Also, with money, one can do a lot of meaningful things to benefit others, such as donations to poor people. All these will not only satisfy one's need for personal fulfillment, but also add grandness to one's success.
In conclusion, money serves as a measurement of one's achievement. But we should keep in mind that only those who obtain money by hardworking and use it to benefit the society are really successful.

Both the reading and listening are discussing 3 reasons that can explain why gulf sturgeon jump out of water. While the passage believes so, the lecturer casts doubt on the writer』s view from the 3 aspects below.

Firstly, in the reading passage, they are jumping for flying insects. On thecontrary, the professor says that they are fully fed in gulf of Mexico in winter, so they do not eat anything in Florida in summer. Moreover, they are seeking food under the sea rather than in the air.

Secondly, the professor opposes reading』s idea that they are jumping to get rid of parasites. He states that it is impossible because the parasites are in their bodies. In addition, some fish like sturgeon with parasites will not jump.
