Leadership is the ability of a company's management to make sound decisions and inspire others to perform well. Effective leaders are able to set and achieve challenging goals, to take swift and decisive action even in difficult situations, to outperform their competition, to take calculated risks and to persevere in the face of failure. Strong communication skills, self-confidence, the ability to manage others and a willingness to embrace change also characterize good leaders.

An indivial with leadership qualities can also improve an organization and the indivials in it, whether it be a teacher who works to get better teaching materials and after-school programs or an employee who develops new ideas and procts and influences others to invest in them.

Leadership can be exhibited in a variety of ways and circumstances. Mothers and fathers show leadership in raising their children with good values and encouraging them to develop to their potential. Teachers show it in inspiring students to learn and to develop their intellectual capacity. Health care workers can be leaders and develop services that meet the needs of the communities they serve, or work in collaboration with other organizations to create cost-effective, prevention-oriented programs and services.

Many studies have been done and many books and articles have been published on this subject. Through this work a consistent set of leadership attributes has emerged. An effective leader does most, if not all, of the following:

•Challenge the Process—search out challenging opportunities, take risks, and learn from mistakes.
•Inspire others to come together and agree on a future direction or goal— create a shared vision by thinking about the future, having a strong positive vision, and encouraging others to participate.
•Help others to act—help others to work together, to cooperate and collaborate by developing shared goals and building trust, and help to make others stronger by encouraging them to develop their skills and talents.
•Set an example—behave in ways that are consistent with professed values and help others to achieve small gains that keep them motivated, especially when a goal will not be achieved quickly.
•Encourage others—recognize each indivial's contributions to the success of a project.
Another way of defining leadership is to acknowledge what people value in indivials that are recognized as leaders. Most people can think of indivials they consider to be leaders. Research concted in the 1980s by James Kouzes and Barry Posner found that a majority of people admire, and willingly follow, people who are honest, forward-looking, inspiring, and competent

Another argument hold by some people is that a stable job indicates the odds of finding ideal partner of life, seen from the traditional perspective, a young alt who enjoys stable job stands more chances of wining the heart of his or her new date.
To sum up, my stand is that more and more modern people can no longer be dependent nor want to be dependent on a single career. In comparison with stable job, choosing the careers that our hearts desire deserves more praises.

A job can provide people with various things including pay, perks, and reputation. But if one thinks about the significance or at very least the purpose of doing the job, he/she must really consider the relative importance between job satisfaction and job stability.
Some believe that the sense of satisfaction outweighs that of security in the workplace. The reason is that if people are satisfied with their job, they will naturally have more zest for what they do, and this can in turn motivate them to achieve better job performance. By comparison, although a high level of job security suggests that people can keep their jobs, those who value it more would have less incentive to work hard, and thus be less likely to reach comparable achievements.
However, I personally would agree with the view that jobs are not always enjoyable and a constant career bear more importance. For instance, if a proct manager wants to succeed, he/she will have to study the varying preferences of consumers before launching any potentially popular proct. A more convincing example is the scientists who identified the cycle of sunspot. He spent his entire life in an observatory tracking and recording the astronomical data. None of these works are pleasant things to do, but without such continuous painstaking work in an occupation, people will be unable to taste the thrill of success, and can even end up leading a fruitless life.
In conclusion, my own view is that job satisfaction is more important than job security, but to accomplish any meaningful goals, one must go through the repetition of endless boring work.

It is true that seeking a decent job is not as easy as decades ago e to the economic recession and competitive job market. In this circumstance, although some believe indivials cannot always enjoy their own jobs and seeking a permanent job is necessary: others still insist that a sense of satisfaction toward job is crucial. The different opinions would be discussed in the following essay.
On the one hand, a permanent job can guarantee employee』s basic needs: so its importance should not be ignored . This is because almost no one can escape from the reality. Everyday, people are facing with a variety of expenses: such as food shelter, transport and even ecation tuition for children. With a relatively stable job: citizens: especially those in middle aged can cover most expenses. 簡歷留學簡歷的內容要求集中強項、清晰明白，包括個人信息、教育背景、工作背景、榮譽和獎勵、學術活動、發表著作、課外活動、參加團體、興趣愛好等等要素。由於不了解西方讀者的認知習慣，中國學生在寫作中易陷入兩種思維誤區：一是過分輕視，了了數行就完事；二是過分重視，芝麻西瓜一起抓。前者除欠缺要素以外，常見的失誤有：（1）每項的時間不夠明確。一般而言，教育經歷和工作經歷要有起始與終止時間的年月，榮譽和獎勵及參加團體要有具體的年份等等。（2）工作經歷中要概括地敘述主要職責和主要項目。（3）發表著作要嚴格按照西方的標准來寫。（4）參加團體最好列出在其中擔任的角色等等。後者則包括：（1）重復陳述。例如在教育背景中提及獎學金後，在榮譽和獎勵中重復說明。（2）列舉瑣事。例如把既與申請無益、也不能說明什麼的六年前檢查宿舍衛生的事情寫進來。（3）沒有重點。例如在工作背景中把一般性職責描述和項目內職責描述同等對待等等。
推薦信推薦信的內容要求真實可信，簡明形象。我們在國內需要推薦信的時候往往找單位的最高領導或學界泰斗，推薦人則泛泛地談論被推薦人的品性業績。所以推薦信在國內作用有限（閱讀者更看重官式文件提供的信息或人際關系），使用也有限（一般只用於求職推薦）。相反，作為用信譽擔保的文件，推薦信在信譽制度比較完善的西方社會里卻發揮著很重要的作用。它是閱讀者了解被推薦人的重要途徑之一，被廣泛地使用於求學、求職，甚至評選、租房。在國外，推薦人一般是具備必要資格而且最了解被推薦人學習、工作、品性等某個或某幾個方面的人，推薦信的內容要求真實、准確、完整，而且與被推薦人要達到的目的有直接或間接的聯系。鑒於中西文化思維的差異，中國學生在准備留學推薦信的時候要注意下面幾點：（1）推薦人要能夠有較多機會了解被推薦人，而且幾個推薦人能夠從不同角度展示被推薦人的學習、工作和品性。所以被推薦人不能一味去找對自己了解甚少的院士或外國教授，也不能幾個推薦人說來說去只反映了某個方面卻不能反映其它方面。（2）從一般閱讀者的常識看，推薦信的內容是合理的。如果公司的老闆知道被推薦人上大學時某門課程的具體分數，或者大學的普通任課教師知道被推薦人全部課程的平均分數，一般來說都是不合理的。（3） 切忌推薦信的內容空洞泛泛。在推薦信中，推薦人籠統地列舉被推薦人學習、工作、品性各個方面的許多優點，其實效果反而不如在合理的范圍內具體地敘述三、四個優點。另外，推薦人與被推薦人之間的關系、接觸時間及推薦人的聯系方式也都應該寫清楚。

In present-day society, plastic containers and utensils are extensively used in big cities and the countryside alike. They are so common-place and I would hazard the guess that each one of us has seen, at one time or another, the unsightly scene of plastic bags swirling in the wind. These plastic shopping bags, chopsticks, to-go boxes and mineral-water bottles, to name but a few, when not properly disposed of, create a colossal amount of non-biodegradable refuse. Therefore, some people argue that we have embarked upon a 「throw-away」 era when plastic rubbish is largely mped indiscriminately and irresponsibly (this act is often labeled 「white pollution」 on account of the color of plastic wastes). Personally, I wholeheartedly support their view.
There are numerous reasons for this worrisome phenomenon coming into being. To begin with, at present the bulk of people who shop and/or eat out regularly are still poorly-informed, uninformed or misinformed about the pernicious influence that non-biodegradable pollutants exert on the ecosystem, which is the main culprit in the global-scale mishandling of the plastic wastes. The chief component of such trash is polythene, which cannot decompose on landfill sites over the process of the next hundreds of years if no major scientific breakthrough comes along in polythene treatment. Thus, such trash must be dealt with collectively rather than be scattered like tumbleweeds. Secondly, the proliferation of plastic shopping bags and eating ware is largely fuelled by the surging, headlong consumerism. Plastic containers and utensils are lighter in weight, cheaper (often free of charge) in price and water-proof in performance. These superior properties make them preferable to their paper and cloth counterparts in customers』 eyes; and as consumer satisfaction reigns supreme in contemporary society, compared with superb portability, affordability and utility, how to dispose of them is the last thing the customers are concerned about. Additionally, plastic bags, wrap and containers are also commercially feasible since they are cheaper to manufacture, ship and store. These mercenary considerations also have prompted the good old cloth or paper bags to be supplanted by plastic bags but over the phasing-out process, few stores and restaurants advocate or encourage the use of environmentally-benign disposal of plastic trash, hence the whole slew of non-biodegradable garbage and environmental hazards ensue.
Given the scale and severity of 「white pollution」, we must take immediate steps to address this scourge. In the first place, we must do our utmost to enhance people』s awareness of how persistent and devastating non-biodegradable trash can be to our environment and our posterity』s. Secondly, retail stores and dining establishments should spare no effort in encouraging their customers to reuse plastic packing items. Furthermore, indiscriminate and irresponsible mping of household garbage or personal junk should be outlawed by the legislature and heavy fines or even jail terms must be imposed on those compulsive litterbugs who fail to get their act together. Then, on the part of the biochemical researchers and technologists, scientific research must be launched here and now in pursuit of effectual ways to convert non-biodegradable refuse to biodegradable refuse. Last but not least, the government must not shirk its obligations in mobilizing scientific resources and rallying popular support in the crusade against 「white pollution」. Neither should pay just lip service to relevant research and campaigns if no enough funding can be obtained otherwise. Additionally, I am convinced a customer tax levied by the government on the use of plastic bags will also help to curb this massive 「white pollution」.
The havoc non-biodegradable refuse can wreak on the ecosystem is beyond our imagination. It can eventually devastate soil, water and the aquatic and terrestrial biota. We must start combating this environmental catastrophe before the ecosystem irretrievably breaks down under the reign of the minute plastic debris.
